Our Trisomy 18 journey
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?

Vera will adapt to the CPAP just as Isabelle did. In time, she will breathe better and get the quality sleep she deserves.
Keep faith. You all can do it!
May,
Did you see the small mask Annabel wears. I know I put it on her blog a while back probably early days in April. She used it with her c-pap and now her bi-pap. Let me know if you want me to forward you a photo. I take it wherever we go. Our local hospital didn't have one and our medical supply company ordered her one after the hospital in Houston gave it to us. It last for a year and now we have two.
Annabel did better on c-pap can't stand bi-pap. I think she panics a little with it.
Praying for Vera to get used to this. I am so envious that there you can get your studies done so quickly.
Hi May,
Is the CPAP too big for her? Did you ask the doctor whether can choose the prong type that used in the NICU? Maybe the prong type will be more confortable.
Don't worry, Vera will get use to it.
Adeline
