An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?
- Yin May

Wow, May she is doing so well. This is so good for her age. Annabel literally rolled over when put in her boppy pillow. You are way ahead on working with her. She is so lucky and you are very lucky to have the luxury to do all this with her.
did you find out what her settings were on the bi-pap?
Vera looks like such a big girl having fun and strengthening her muscles! Adorable.
Vera, the position is great. You are such a wonderful girl like your friends in school. In this postion, tell mom to move the toy to right side as well as to left side so you need to turn your head to follow moving toy. This active neck movement can strengthen your neck muscles. It also provides proprioception that can develop your neck extensor muscles. And then we will move on developing your trunk control. Keep it up, Vera. Enjoy Tummy Time. when you become stronger, let mom to use lower pillow. Finally you will be on flat surface and ready for pusing up to on your hands and knees.
