The operation will take place on Wednesday at 8am (Tuesday 7pm US time). It should last about 2 hours. We hope Vera will be able to breathe on her own emerging from the operating theatre. Failing which she will probably be whisked to the Intensive Care Unit. More updates from the hospital tomorrow.

I'm sure things will turn out all well. God Bless you, Vera!
I will pray the best outcome possible!! Good luck Vera......
May,
I know how you are feeling. Zane went through the same thing 1 1/2 years ago. There is a lot of anxiety, but remember that you are doing it to make Vera's quality of life better. Those NG and OG feeding tubes are the worst.
I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers for an easy surgery, extubation, and recovery.
May, Thank you for letting us know. She and your family will be in our prayers. I will be checking for post in the hopes that there is good news upon the end of the surgery. Praying that she will be breathing on her own. I will be thinking of you and the strength you need to get thru this. Thank you for keeping up with us.
