Another Big Sister
An old school friend brought her daughter to visit Vera recently. I think her daughter can babysit Vera for us.

An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?

WOW! your old school friend's daughter looks so cutee. Of course Vera looks CUTEE too! Vera is smiling more now. I'm glad to see her smile. :D
Cheers,

I love how those maternal little girls just love babies. They don't care if the babies have tubes, bandaids, whatever. As long as they can hold and cuddle them! Our friend's little girls helped us tube feed Mallorie, pushing 5cc of milk at a time into her tube. So cute. And I was worried if they'd be frightened of her mouth (we were not done with the surgeries at the time). They accepted the explanations, and then moved on, and were so sweet toward her. Gotta love girls, huh?
I love the picture. I am glad she is doing so good.
