Well, at least she calmed down enough for this shot with the dragonboats on the Kallang River. Hmmm...wonder if our "Tour de Parks" will be shortlived with her intolerance of heat.

Mallorie is the same way about the heat. Her brother (11) figured out for us that much of her early irritability was because of her feeling hot. If he fanned her with a magazine or something, she calmed, and the heartrate reading on her pulse ox would drop steadily to a much more normal rate. So she sleeps with a fan blowing on her most of the night, and also has one blowing on her at other times. If we're out somewhere and she can't settle, we just blow on her or fan her!
Cathy found us some small, but portable fans that light up with pretty lights, and we brought those with us to her surgeries, to cool her and distract her if she got upset, until they could find us a fan for the room.
How funny that Vera doesn't like the heat, either!
kaiya get's pretty evil when she gets hot as well. we have little battery operated clip on fans that we attach to her stroller or wheelchair if we are outside and it's really hot. and i put one in the car and aim it towards her in her carseat when it gets steamy out. we even have a battery operated fan that mists - that one is mommy's favorite :)
I have just been catching up on little Vera. I found your site from Annabel's site. What a miracle baby she is. She is absolutely beautiful, I love those chubby cheeks!
I think God is creating little miracles along the way for you to be witness of. Thanks for giving such an open peek into Vera's world!
