An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?
- Yin May

I love the family photo, it is beautiful. I am so glad it was a great outing for you, Ian and Vera. You need them to keep you going. I bet Ian enjoys being with sweet Vera, especially since he had all that early time with her. You are blessed that you can find that balance between you in caring for Vera. I am also so happy for all your hard work in therapy. To see it paying off makes it easier to keep it up.
Lovely family photo! Bring Vera out more often (but to less crowded places). I'm very happy with her vast improvement. Tell Vera she beat gor gor Jonathan on her achievement during the same age! Keep it up May!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful day, May.
Special children like Vera allow loving parents to see the world through a different lens. It is one of the gifts they give to us.
I hope there will be more days with increasing frequency just like this.
