An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?
- Yin May

I'm so glad she's feeling better, finally! Do breathing treatments help loosen that congestion in her lungs? (Does she do breathing treatments?)
GREAT pictures! She is beautiful, .... I love Vera's smile so much.
so glad to hear vera is feeling better. hopefully mom and dad are getting some more sleep. i love the pic of her scowling b/c of the sun :) kaiya hates it too and usually keeps her hands over her eyes until the bright light is gone.
if you decide to go to a chiropractor for vera let me know how it goes. i have been considering taking kaiya to one because her kyphosis is getting worse.
Those million dollar toothless smiles are so precious.
So glad to read Vera is her old self again so Momi & Dadi can catch up on some sleep.
It's about time Mr Mucous and friends leave for an extended holiday.
See you soon....Vera.
Luv,
Aunt Jacq
I second that about the chiroprator. Please blog about it if you can. Thank you for the pictures, she is so precious. I probably would have to agree with the sand in the toes.
Also, so glad her germie little visitor have gone on vacation and hope they don't find their way back.
P.S. Put yourself in some pics with Vera, if not for her for us out here in blogland!
She doesn't do any breathing treatments, what's does that involve? I have a hunch Vera has kyphosis as well, I feel a curve outwards in her spine already...sometimes you don't need a doc to tell you these things!
May, Please forgive me I do remember you in a few pictures now. I remember liking your short haircut! I think stress and older age makes me forgetful.
I don't mind getting Vera a baby Branz sunglass. But do you think she will like it on? Have you tried on her ever before?
If i'm not wrong, Baby vera has already TWO pairs of sunglasses.... :-) *grin* dunno why momi and dadi never brought them out??!! ;-P
what a great picture of Vera and her Daddy!! :)
That's cos little Vera's head is just TOO SMALL for even the infant sunglasses! we probably need newborn sunglasses haha
Hi May,
Have you tried this sunglasses on Vera? They have new born size.
