An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?
- Yin May

Bravo, Vera! You can do it! Proud of you.
love, aunty shuhui
this reminds me of kaiya's earlier days...she HATED being put on her tummy! do you put the socks on her hands so she doesn't pull out the tube?
Yes, her index fingers are hooked, common T18 feature, so they tend to hook the feeding tube. Once she pulled it out the stomach end but the tube still plastered in place!
