She was extremely alert, and excited, probably too excited, so she got tired out and cranky. But overall, she enjoyed the session - I can tell from her roving eyes.
She sat unassisted on the mat for the first time in class. I am so proud of her.
An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?
