Vera's learnt to 'keow kah' like a 'towkay' (big boss).
It's always the same right leg onto left knee.
She does it everywhere. Lying down, sitting up.
Her hands are now firm friends with her feet.
An extraordinary girl living with Trisomy 18
"A simple child, that lightly draws its breath, and feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?"
- William Wordsworth
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness,
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow,
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?

Thank you, I have been getting worried with no post. You spoil us with your information, writings and sweet pics of Vera.
Hi May!
I'm touched by your story about Vera. You're such a good mom! I am also a mother of a special child (Trisomy 22), I totally understand what you've been thru! We can share more about our experiences in mummysg's forum. Btw, i just replied to your question about feeding alternatives.
Keep your spirit up!
Hi May,
Zane does this, but with his right hand to his right foot--whenever he can.
