Who Would Want a Child Like That?

There are five other cubicles in Vera's ward section. I can't help but notice that they are mostly occupied by children with some form of disability. Like Vera, they do not move very much, lying down and staring into space most of the time. I play devil's advocate and ask: Why would someone choose to be a doctor to help children like that?

I chanced upon this blog post via Annabel's blog and got the perfect answer.

Thank you, May! If only Barb and her family were given the respect and right to raise Annie for however long this outcome emotionally would have been so different for them. Praying for Vera, you and Ian that she gets home and you two get the much needed rest that you so need.

They may not be able to speak, walk or do anything.. but their presence is more powerful than anyone of us !

We , "so-call" the normal human beings are given hands, legs, hands, speech and with a intellectual mind but, did we actually use them (meaningfully) ?

That is why they come to this world with a noble task and role then anyone of us. We should respect the children for that! They are here for us but we are so blinded by the worldly stuff.

The earlier for us to learn to be a better person( i believe the messages that to every each one of us is different), the earlier that they can go in peace. It is depending on us.
