If you're wondering why posts have been few and far between, that's because Vera's momma has been working crazy hours the last 2 weeks. 10pm, 1am, and tonight, well, let's just say the night is still young.
You see, I am the writer on an advertising pitch. And winning, is the aim here. I love the challenge of the work but the hours working up to the presentation are punishing. (Once, I worked till 6am in the morning.)
But now, I'm not the only one who's affected. When mommy works late, daddy has no respite all day with Vera. That's one too many single-handed-tube-feeds-leading-up-to-vomitting in a day. Daddy doesn't complain, but mommy feels bad.
But most of all, mommy misses Vera. Last night, she slept at 1am, and still I couldn't catch her.
Should mommy continue working this hard?

I feel your pain, sister. That's all I am going to say about this post.
Hey - we think switching from Zantac to Prevacid has made a difference in the gagging for Mal! I'm almost nervous to say this here, but .... like all week, no gagging!
I am so sorry for you working so hard, for your hubby with no relief and for precious Vera's lack of mommy time. Only you know what you need to do. Have you always had to work so many long hours or tis it just the season.
yeah it's just for periods at a time so hope things go back to more normal hours.
connie, no gagging with Prevacid? that's good news! I shall ask vera's doc about it next time. Thanks.
hi may, chanced upon your blog via the smh website. good job mummy! and kudos to your courage, determination and fighting spirit.
i could understand what you are going through as i am a mother myself. my daughter was born with neonatal lupus. she had a big butterfly rash on her face when she was born. i was in depression and shock during that period. her skin condition is recovering now and is fine other than that.
i've learnt the importance of counting our blessings through your entries. little vera is a fighter and we are proud of her. when u r down, please remember there are people who're reading your blog and getting strength from your determination and persistence as a mother. thank you for sharing your experiences through your blog. you're indeed a very strong mother! jia you!
Little Vera is lucky to have u as her mummy who works so hard for her.
Take care of your health tooooo
